Most know this nymph as Kibbi, others know it as Babbi, and then the occasional person know it by the original name; BAB. This is an exceptionally effective and good fly, simple and deadly, as many fishing log books in Iceland can prove. It was first used and introduced officially by the owner himself, Bjorgvin A. Bjorgvinsson, at the national trout fishing competition in 2000, but by then he had already tried it in several versions since 1996.
You should always travel around with few Kibbi nymphs in your flybox while fishing in Iceland.
