There is no need to lengthy speech about this deadly char fly, but few words from addressed directly to the author should be noted; “There was a fly that the fishing guide Frímann Ólafsson named Hogna. It had a black wing, a silver body, a pink beard and a Jungle Cock in the cheeks. I was not satisfied with this fly, so I added the gray wing and then it started to remind me of Peter Ross. So I then added the blue tail, because the blue color has always worked very well for me in sea char fishing. There I realized that the fly was now complete, but I have sometimes added two strands of glitter, either to the side of the fly or under it. It can be used both with and without a bead head”
This fly was orignally tied as a streamer and is, like the nymph versions, an absolute killer when aiming for the Arctic Char.
